Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Tail Frame account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page documents how. See also our Privacy Policy.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, we remove the following within 30 days:

  • Your Firebase Authentication account (email, sign-in method, profile info).
  • Your Firestore user document and your generation history records.
  • Your generated photos and videos stored in Firebase Storage.
  • Your uploaded pet photos (these are normally auto-deleted minutes after a generation completes; deletion ensures any failures are also cleaned up).
  • Your PostHog identity (we send a deletion event so analytics is unlinked from you).
  • Any push-notification device tokens registered to your account.

What is retained, and why

  • Purchase records required by tax / accounting law (transaction ID, amount, date) are retained for up to 10 years as required under German bookkeeping law (HGB §257) and EU VAT rules. These records are not linked to your name or email after account deletion.
  • Aggregated and anonymized analytics that cannot be tied back to you may be retained.
  • Information about violations (if any) of our Terms of Service may be retained to prevent re-abuse and to comply with legal obligations.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — In the Android app (fastest)

  1. Open Tail Frame on your Android device.
  2. Go to Settings → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm. Your Firebase Auth account is removed immediately; the rest of your data is purged within 30 days.

Option 2 — By email

Send a message from the email address tied to your Tail Frame account to support@tailframe.com with the subject line "Account deletion request". We will:

  1. Confirm receipt within 3 working days.
  2. Verify your identity using the email address on the account.
  3. Delete the account and associated data within 30 days of verification.
  4. Send you a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

Partial deletion (delete some data, keep account)

You can also delete individual generations from your in-app gallery without closing the account. To request deletion of any other specific data category, email support@tailframe.com describing what you want removed.

Cannot recover after deletion

Account deletion is permanent. Generated photos and videos cannot be recovered after deletion. Unspent Paws are forfeited. Please download anything you want to keep before requesting deletion.
